Flight is a one-man Mississippi outfit with all the right credentials: 7''s on Sweet Rot and Hozak, a 10'' on Kill Shaman, and now this, a cassette-only release on Bathetic titled Mi$$i$$ippi Lean. So let's get right to it: this cassette is weird. Flight songs have always been grimey, distorted, and lo-fi, but they've never been as fucked-with as on this release. It basically sounds like they took the old songs and slowed them down to 33 1/3, but the effect really works. Creeping, smoked-out, other-worldly jams with some truly insane vocals.
